Mechanical controls are common in the automatic sorting of industrial parts, and can have several objectives.

The most common is to perform a measurement by contact with a probe that gives a dimensional value when it comes into contact with the target part. TQS uses this technology, for example, to measure the depth of a cavity on a screw head.

The sorting of parts by mechanical control can check the functionality of a part. For example, we can verify that the right tool can fit in the cavity of a screw or, more specifically, verify that the threads of a screw are functional.

TQS has invented a unique screwability test technology which can check the screwing function of threads at high speed by checking the dimensional criteria (pitch, angles, diameters…), as well as buckling (twisted part), accumulation of surface treatments, impacts on threads… This unique solution is protected by patent.
